VIDEO GAMES LIVE: LEVEL 6 (album & movie!)

Hi Everyone!,

I wanted to wait to post an update until I was 100% sure of the situation... but I am now pleased to announce that we DID in fact hit the first stretch goal to get another track on the album and documentary!!  There will now be a total of 11 tracks!  Thanks to the kind folks (Josh & Ravi) at www.poutination.ca who have committed to ensure that the 1st stretch goal and extra track were met!  We have some exciting news about our new partnership with Josh & Ravi that we'll be revealing along the way.

Out of these 11 tracks, 4 of them will be decided BY YOU!!

Before sending out the survey... I'm just finishing up the Backerkit Add-On store which will enable ALL backers to purchase a lot of different digital & physical add-on's.  Including things that weren't even part of the LEVEL 6 project (t-shirts, hats, DVD's, CD's, vinyl, etc.)!  The store will be up and running til October, then we'll need to start shipping products.  At that point, only the digital tiers will be available in the store.

Once the Add-On store is finished (this weekend) I'll then send out the survey's which will also include a separate survey to decide on the 4 remaining tracks.  You will be able to chose 4 games from a list of around 15.  You will have a week to complete the survey so we can start working on the 4 new arrangements ASAP.  I will be giving updates throughout that week to let everyone know who is in the lead, etc. (similar to what I did last project).  PLEASE NOTE!  ONLY LEVEL 6 backers will be able to pick the Final Four.  And you'll only be able to vote once.

7 Hours Left! Just passed $200,000! ($227,000 with $10K Backer Matching!)

This is it!  This will be the LAST Update I will send out before the end of the project tonight. With 7 hours left we are only $11,000 away from our 1st stretch goal (when you include our $10K Backer Matching).

Donkey Kong Country composer David Wise confirmed for DKC piano album!

Hi Everyone!,

With only 1 day to go in the project I am happy to announce that we have confirmed that original Donkey Kong Country composer David Wise will be performing on our bonus Donkey Kong Country piano album as well as co-producing it with me!  David is very excited about putting this together with us and we can't wait to start working with him on this!  He's been a good friend for many years and has always been a big supporter of Video Games Live.  He may also be joining us for parts of our UK tour in November!

Over the past 24 hours we raised an additional $14,000 which is DOUBLED because of the amazing generosity of our friends Josh & Ravi at poutination.ca! That puts the project at $200,000 right now... which means we only need to raise an additional $25,000 to get to that stretch goal! The LEVEL 5 project saw over $50,000 raised in the final 24 hours! So if we do the same... that will get us 2 stretch goals!

Backer is going to MATCH all new & increased pledges!!! 2 days left!

Hi Everyone!,

Just got back yesterday from our 17 show (over 3 1/2 weeks) tour across Canada & Florida.  I'm a bit exhausted, but with only 2 days left to go on the LEVEL 6 Kickstarter I have the most AMAZING and exciting announcement!  One of our current $10,000 backer teams (Josh & Ravi from poutination.ca) have decided that they are going to MATCH all new & increased pledges for that last 2 days of the project... which starts NOW!!  They are going to match up to $50,000!  This means that we are well in range to get at least 2 stretch goals!  So if we can all come together and get another $50,000... and they match $50,000... that will put us at in the $275,000 range which gives us an additional 2 tracks on the album!

For current backers... if you're able to up a level... this will have a DOUBLE impact on the project!  Please note: They are only offering this to new pledges and increased pledges... for example... if you cancel a pledge today and then redo it tomorrow, that wouldn't count.  We super appreciate what Josh & Ravi are doing and need to keep it 100% fair.

With 2 days left... NOW is the time to PLEASE post about the project on social media.  We especially get huge bumps from Facebook & Twitter.  Here is the link to the project:

Update from the road! Tons of video & pics!

Hi Everyone!,

Sorry it's been a bit quiet on the actual project page... but just know that we've been making a LOT of direct noise to tens of thousands of people each of the last 3 weeks on tour!  Currently writing this from Quebec City (show tonight) then off to Montreal tomorrow... then Toronto the next day and then ending in Kitchener on Monday.  PHEW!

There has been a TON of excitement and we've always experienced a huge push in the last 4 or 5 days... so we're getting close to the explosion!

Here are a bunch of pics & videos from the past few weeks that I wanted to share. Audiences are really freaking out about the three LEVEL 6 songs that we've been performing.  Pokemon TV show "Gotta Catch 'Em All" with original singer Jason Paige (who you'll see in a lot of the pics) as well as our FFX "To Zanarkand" and Undertale!

First video I wanted to share is from our last show (Ottawa) in a big arena called TD Place Arena...
